Whalebone Longboard Classic At Cottesloe

The event that all Perth Longboarders hang out for each year is back for a long weekend of fun among the waves of Iso’s Reef. Whether you’re a surfer or spectator, there’ll be plenty of fun for all to enjoy with live entertainers and market stall holders pitching up tents on the grass at Cott. For more info, click here.

Biryani At St George’s Cathedral

Kali Srinivasan, the leading lady in the Palme D’or winning flick Dheepan, will take to the stage this Friday night for the opening night of Briyani. This is dinner theatre like you’ve never seen it before, with a whole lot of live music, storytelling and just enough Bollywood dance to keep things interesting. The intimate audience will get to share in the delectable biryani cooked right on stage. The season runs from this Friday until 15 July, get tickets here.

Revelation Perth International Film Festival In Perth

If you've been getting bored with the movies on Netflix then hit up the Revelation International Film Festival. Open Water is a powerful artistic showcase combining multiple art forms. Underwater video, drawing and scrimshaw are used to bring to life a darker side of the ocean engulfing Australia. Inspired by an Albany whaler losing his leg in an accident, Open Water: The Offering will take you on a journey through Australia’s oceans. American Honey Acoustic Fridays

Every Friday in July, Botanica is bringing the American Honey and by that, we obviously mean that there’ll be some delicious drinks coming over the bar and epic acoustic sets to match. The chilled out live music will kick off at 4:30pm and we recommend that you pick yourself up an American Honey and mixer while you’re there, sit back enjoy the tunes (it’s a no brainer).
