Trekkies, look away now—this is nothing you’ll want to be a part of. In a galaxy far, far away (umm, okay, Orlando Florida to be precise) comes news of a new hotel that’s set to rock your meagre earth-based existence.
In what can only be described as ‘ambitious’, a huge Star Wars-themed hotel is set to open—and, trust us, it’ll be like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.
This fully immersive hotel is set to be the jewel in the crown of Walt Disney World’s newly proposed 360-vacation concept. Basically, picture walking around on the set of Rogue One and you’re almost (almost) there.
Checking in to a Star Wars hotel is every bit the unique experience one would hope for: guests automatically become ‘citizens’ of the galaxy, are required to dress in the ‘proper’ attire and will even (breathe) engage with characters from the Star Wars universe, making for more excitement than a few too many drinks at the hotel bar!
Guests will also become a part of the overarching narrative of the galaxy, meaning you’re as likely to bump into Luke Skywalker and chat about the weather on Tatooine, as you are having your morning coffee next to Obi-Wan Kenobi.
For now, the Star Wars universe is still a way off into the future, so we can all go back to our mediocre lives and use ‘store-bought’ lightsabers to protect our land and ward off evil.
Okay, okay, by ‘evil’ we mean the next-door neighbour’s cat. Same thing…
