We love nothing more than indulging in a jam-packed burger and we believe no one should be robbed of this juicy joy. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, health conscious or bored of your standard cheeseburger order, we have a list of mouth-watering options that will blow your mind.
Here are 10 of the best vegan and vegetarian burgers in Perth
Pearth Organic Kitchen
Pearth's vegan burger is only full of the good stuff. Free of sugar, gluten and any other nasties, their fluffy brioche bun is packed with a massive lentil and walnut patty, moorish cashew mayo and fresh salad. Don’t even get us started on the side of sweet potato fries!
Roark And Co
One glance at Roak And Co’s nacho cheeseburger and even meat eaters will be drooling. Oozy mozzarella and sweet pineapple team up with a mushroom and walnut patty, creating a party for your tastebuds. Rumour has it that their Calypso Dreaming beetroot and black bean burger is also a must try.
Brother of Mine
A hidden treasure in Baldivis, Brother of Mine was created by two brothers (go figure) who have a passion for local produce and good coffee. Their sweet potato, beetroot and quinoa patty is lathered in their secret mayo (sorry vegans, this one’s not for you) and stuffed with crispy kale chips (#genius). Add a side of chips and coleslaw and you have yourself a plate of veggie heaven.
The Raw Kitchen
The Raw Kitchen’s pulled pork style jackfruit burger is truly a masterpiece. Your choice of gluten free or paleo bun is filled with house-made smoked BBQ sauce, fresh greens, grilled sweet potato, pickled cucumber, garlic aioli and a side of sauerkraut for good measure. This is a burger to cleanse your soul and the perfect pre or post yoga feed—and as with everything at The Raw Kitchen, it’s 100% plant based.
Mason & Bird
Mason & Bird’s sautéed mushroom and avo burger goes perfectly with one of their speciality beetroot lattes. It’s the ideal meal to fuel a day of browsing the Kalamunda markets.
De Ja Vu
Northbridge star De Ja Vu is known for going the extra mile and their burger is no exception. They have created their own beetroot bun (super Insta-worthy), lentil and pesto patty and hand cut potato wedges. They also serve up some mean tempeh and pulled jackfruit sliders, and yep, it really does taste like pulled pork. If you don’t believe us, try it.
The Local Shack
The Local Shack’s Magic Mushie will put any burger enthusiast into a head spin. The creamy brie cheese melts over a massive field mushroom and will have you savouring every mouthful. Sorry vegans, you'll have to sit this one out.
The 'Pear'fect Pantry
It’s no surprise that The 'Pear'fect Pantry knows how to make the perfect vegan burger. Pulled jackfruit, vegan cheese, slaw and potato wedges, it ticks all the boxes.
Any burger lover will have a field day with Varsity’s vegetarian option. Say hello to blue cheese, semi-dried tomatoes, capsicum, onion and stacks upon stacks of mushrooms. Mmm-mmmmm.
There is no denying that the Garden Goodness burger at Grill'd deserves a mention on this list. Tasting just like a hash brown, the crispy patty comes with avo (we recommend ordering double) and plenty of salad.
If you thought Huxtaburger was just making meat-lovers happy, think again. They’re flipping up some bangin’ veggielicious options, because everyone deserves the unmatchable comfort of biting into a juicy burger. Try their ‘Vege Denise’ which has a quinoa and spicy bean patty, with a kick of siracha mayo and jalapenos gently tucked in between their signature brioche buns. If you want a healthier option, they have a kale, zucchini, and quinoa patty burger, which comes with hummus and pickled onion.
