Get your dancing shoes ready for free Friday night concert series, The Courtyard Club, which kicks off again at the State Theatre Centre at the end of October.
Presented by the Perth Theatre Trust and RTRFM, the eight-week series will feature some of Perth’s best music acts, such as Ruby Boots, Methyl Ethel, Tired Lion and Mathas, as well as live broadcasts of RTRFM’s Drivetime and RTRFM DJ sets.
November 6 is the night to watch out for with West Australian Music (WAM) presenting a special showcase of the 2015 WAM Festival, including performances by The High Learys, Ben Witt Quartet, Gunns, Rachael Dease and Ruby Boots.
Rudi Gracias, Perth Theatre Trust Acting General Manager, said last year’s event was extremely successful and they were hoping to build on that and their commitment to the local arts community this year.
The Courtyard Club starts on 30 October and finishes up on 18 December. The State Theatre courtyard will open at 4.30pm each week with the Drivetime broadcast commencing at 5pm. A licenced bar, food and drinks will be available at the venue. Did someone say Friday night perfection?
