An Interactive Bar Is Popping Up At The Fremantle Prison

The Magic Squirrel is a new interactive bar that’s popping up for three weeks only in the old Fremantle prison next month and we think you're going to want to add this to your calendar.

The pop up bar will be opening from 7 February and it sounds unlike anything we've seen in Perth before. Think Alice in Wonderland meets some seriously creative cocktail makers. Follow The Magic Squirrel through crazy light projections, giant art installations and a magical forest wonderland that will have you feeling transported to another world.

You'll be encouraged to interact with everything around you, from the staff to the set, to create an experience that can’t be replicated. The set will be designed by WAAPA students and graduates, so you can expect some tantalising stuff, and the staff will also be made up of WAAPA students and grads.

As if the interactive light installations weren't enough, we are also pretty excited for the cocktails which are being curated by one of London's top bars, Evans & Peel. They're keeping tight-lipped on exactly what to expect for now, but their current cocktail menu features a few crazy drinks like the On the Lamb, a cocktail described as short and boozy with lamb fat washed bourbon, rosemary and thyme maple syrup and a splash of bitters.

Tickets are on sale now, get them here

Until then, check out more epic things to do in Perth.
