Jump In The Car, A Drive-In Restaurant Has Opened In Perth

The local, family-owned Wanneroo restaurant Leapfrogs isn't new, in fact, it's been a favourite among locals for a while now. But when the COVID-19 restrictions hit in March, they put on a free drive-in night to help struggling community members and it was such a hit they decided to do it every weekend and open it up to anyone and everyone.

So now, Wanneroo's Botanical Gardens is home to a drive-in restaurant which resembles something in between a drive-in cinema and the outdoor container bars that we Perthlings love so much.

The drive-in is complete with fairy lights and plenty of other finishing touches to add to your night, so drive through and pick up your eats, and then park up to enjoy a romantic evening under the stars. If you want to stretch your legs, you can always grab takeaway and go for a wander around the gardens.

Open Friday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm, Leapfrogs is dishing up breakfast, lunch and dinner—think pizza, burgers and more, all served in eco-friendly packaging—as well as coffee and booze, so there's no itch they cannot scratch.

With restrictions easing on Monday, up to 20 people are welcome to go and sit inside, but we reckon you should make the most of it and have a little picnic in your car. Don't forget to order online if you want to speed up the process.
