Deep breaths everyone, October is on our doorsteps and there is heaps to do if you’re down for a good time.
While you’re traversing the city hopping from social activity to social activity with the girls, you’re going to want to keep fresh, which is where NIVEA's new Urban Skin range comes in. The perfect sidekick to busy days battling UV rays and the city’s pollution, the Urban Skin range is packed with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and bio green tea extract—aka everything you need to face the city, fearlessly.
Get ready for 31 days of fast-paced fun, as well as some much needed pampering, because why the hell not?!
Sign Up For A Floral Workshop
Fact: you can never have enough flowers and Beans & Bunches knows this. They run custom workshops (for two or more people) creating floral masterpieces like bouquets, flower crowns and terrariums. Pick your favourite (or sign up for a couple) and get your green thumbs ready.
Grab the girls and make a booking at Bodhi J for some much needed pampering. Start with a relaxing yoga class before booking into a glorious deep tissue massage. When you’re done there get your brows tinted and shaped before topping it all off with a delux mani/pedi. You’ll be so primped and relaxed you won’t even recognise yourself!
Swing In The City
The Kings Square Swings will be hanging around until 14 October, so head into the city for a nibble and a drink (we recommend Big Bopper) before making your way to see the swings in all their illuminated glory. Every Saturday night from 5pm to 8pm there’ll be a DJ spinning sweet, sweet tunes.
Escape To A Whole New World
By now you should be well aware that Aladdin The Musical has flown into town on its magic carpet. If you haven’t grabbed tickets yet, the season is running until 28 October, so you’ve still got a chance to see the incredible explosion of colour and song on stage. Keen to turn it into a date? Our date night genie is on standby to steer you in the right direction.
Shake It Off With Tay Tay
Everyone’s fave cat lady Taylor Swift is headed to P-town on 19 October and believe it or not there are still a couple of tickets left. She’ll be lighting up Perth Stadium with bangers from her latest album Reputation, and from what we’ve seen on the ‘Gram, it’s a pretty fun show! Get your posse together and grab tickets now or suffer FOMO.
While construction is well underway for Perth’s brand new WA Museum (opening 2020), the museum is taking things virtual with it’s brand new Antarctica Experience. Open until 14 October you’ll don VR goggles and get to witness the thrills and chills of Antarctica with 360-degree footage. You’ll fly in a helicopter, land on glaciers, ride in a zodiac and witness the Southern Lights—all in high def.
Feel That Sugar High
Round up the girls and book a high tea at Bites By D. Birthday, wedding, promotion, baby or just being a boss bitch are as good reasons as any to devour all of the bite-sized treats. The thing we love best about Bites By D’s high teas—they offer BYO champagne (with a $5 bottle charge). So you can make it a relatively cheap affair if you wish!
Nerd Out Over Art
The Matagarup Bridge (the one connecting East Perth to Optus Stadium) has finally opened and to celebrate you can go on an Activated ArtWalk. Co-created by digital and mixed-reality artist Sutu, download the Eyejack App and get walking. Kick off your art expedition at Forest Place and then walk down Hay Street towards the bridge.
