Perth is awash with new openings right now and it doesn't look like they're slowing down anytime soon. The latest? The Quarter Acre Hotel, a new bar from Miles Hull—the superstar of Little Creatures, Shadow Wine Bar and The Alex Hotel fame—and Clint Nolan—the legend behind Henry Summer, La Cholita and Sneaky Tony's. With a combined resume like that, we're pretty certain this place will be bringing good times aplenty.
The Quarter Acre Hotel opens today in Applecross and you can expect casual vibes with plenty of outdoor seating so you can soak up the rays over a long lunch. Think communal picnic tables, hanging flower pots—we hope they're using the same greenery expert that looks after Henry Summer's plants—and classic Aussie pub feels and you're on the right track.
The kitchen will be dishing up classic pub grub—chicken parmis, smoked pork baby-back ribs, beef burgers and the like—alongside some fancy eats like pork belly tacos, maple miso salmon and hearty salads.
When it comes to drinks, expect fresh, fruity cocktails plus all the classic cocktails you know and love, pitchers of rosé (and one heck of a wine list) and a legit selection of local craft, session and domestic brews.
The space is huge, it can accommodate up to 400 people and it's available for event hire, so you know what to do for your next birthday.
