A nightclub scene with a pink lit back wall with the words dancing queen and a DJ

Bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase all dressed up with nowhere to go, Cherry Bomb and Lucy’s Love Shack are joining forces to bring us Perth’s first virtual nightclub. But it’s no ordinary nightclub, it’s a queer punk house party; a Queerantine Party if you will.

To shake up our iso lives a little bit, these guys will be bringing us a virtual version of their alternative queer party on Zoom this Friday night from 8pm.

Cherry Bomb’s queer cowboy DJ Dallas Dickson will be on the decks spinning everything from punk and emo to indie, retro and rock tunes and you’ll be treated to a few drag performances in between sets.

If you can’t get into the Zoom party—it’s limited to 100 people—you’ll be able to tune into the livestream on Lucy Love Shack’s Facebook or Twitch. All you need to do is RSVP over on the Facebook event page and then keep an eye out for the Zoom password on the day.

To get you in the mood, they’ve even shared a couple of their playlists here and here which should keep you going until Friday night.

It should go without saying, but there’s obviously a zero-tolerance policy towards any kind of homophobia, transphobia, racism or any other kind of discrimination. As they put it, any twats or douche-canoes will be instantly removed, so just don’t.

Need drinks for the party? These Perth bottle shops will deliver.
