This week we welcome WA Good Beer Week into our lives and for this, we will be forever grateful. There are so many festivities on this weekend in Perth, starting with some beer, a touch of music, some exercise, some trendy artworks and of course, our one true love—food.

We don’t care if you’re ‘tired’ or ‘hungover’ from Melbourne Cup Day, it's time to put some pep in your weekend step! Here’s what on in Perth this weekend.

Friday 6 November


Make sure you celebrate WA Good Beer Week in style by heading to the Bar Pop Beer Fest in Northbridge’s Urban Orchard. Beer Fest brings together all lovers of beer, cider and sliders by featuring some of Perth’s best restaurants and food trucks as well as over 30 varieties of beers and ciders. This only comes around once a year, peeps, so make sure you grab your mates, pick a session on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and drink up!

Rebecca Orchard is an extremely talented Perth artist who is launching a brand spankin’ new exhibition called Rose Vision. This show explores the various forms of plant life in WA in all its glory using video, paintings, illustration and sculpture. With Lesmurdie Falls as her inspiration, this show is bound to be flowing with colour, shapes and textures and in even better news…it’s running for the whole month of November!

Saturday 7 November


This Mane Liquor Spectacular beer festival extravaganza carries on the WA Good Beer Week funzies! This year is guaranteed to be bigger and better than ever and will feature breweries, distilleries, cideries, wineries, food trucks, chilli sauces, music and coffee…errmerrgerrdddd!!! We’re talking about all the goodies from Whipper Snapper Distillery, Colonial, Toastface Grillah, Eat No Evil, Micrologists Coffee Roasters and sooo many more. YUM.

If you missed out on the opportunity to see Florence + The Machine at Spendour In The Grass last year then now is your chance. This ultra chic chick from London town has the voice of an angel so take a break from all the blokey beer festivities and chill out to some cool vibes at Perth Arena this weekend.

Attention all foodie freaks and taste bud extraordinaires…make sure you’re wearing your fancy pants (the ones with the elastic waistband for extra comfort) for this culinary adventure. Join the boys at HopScotch Bar for a decadant three course meal and countless beverages along the way. After starting the night with dessert (we like where this is going) you will jump on a pre-organised bus that will be taking you to different pop up locations around Perth to enjoy two other courses and plenty of drinky-poos. It's sure to be quite the unique experience!

Calling all Amazing Race enthusiasts! Get a group of friends together or grab your ultra swifty partner in crime and head to Subi to compete in the annual Race Around Subi. Supporting The Heart Foundation, this is a great opportunity to have a bit of fun and to help promote a healthy and active lifestyle while doing it. Sounds like a great way to spend a sunny Saturday to us!

POPdining IMPACT is a new business venture that aims to bring people together through their passions. This Saturday Print Hall is holding an entrepreneurial dinner that will inspire a diverse selection of successful entrepreneurs and business amateurs. Featuring Directors of The Raw Kitchen Heath and Emma Daly, and Founder and Director of Melanie Marris Eyebrow Stylist and MJM Cosmetics Melanie Marris, get on board if you’re a small business owner, foodie or fashion enthusiast.

This Saturday and Sunday, Rokeby Road will be closed between 9am and 4pm for Markets on Rokeby. These markets will be showcasing some of WA’s best home grown food and wares. Try authentic street food, buy handcrafted gifts and try on locally designed clothing and jewellery. We will be there with bells on!

One of our fave events of the year! Open House is an amazing event that opens up great spaces all over this fine city of ours for the public to check out for free! Whether you want to play tourist for a day or have a quick sneak peak at a building you can't usually get in to, Open House is the perfect way to do it.

Valley Of The Night Flowers is the latest and greatest group exhibition featuring 11 of Perth’s best female artists. This exhibition celebrates everything about night flowers and girl power (as the name states) and doing everything to empower the women in our lives. It will be a great opportunity to see how others express themselves and to get a little girl power inspiration into your weekend!

Another beautiful event to celebrate WA Good Beer Week is A Long Table Dinner Party hosted by Pop-Up Planning Co, The Submariner, Pop-Up Craft Beer Bar and Me & Mabel. This amazing foursome will be bringing you a five course collaborative dinner party celebrating their love of craft beer and quality food. With a new and unique location at The Monk Fremantle, it is set to be an intimate and wow-filled evening.

Calling all calm brides, cool brides, excited brides and even bridezillas! Whether you're recently engaged or your big day is alarmingly close, pop down to Perth Town Hall this weekend for The White List Wedding Expo. The event will feature local designers, stylists, photographers, florists and everything else that you need for your special day.
