Get excited, guys, this weekend is jam packed full of Perthy goodness and we know you’re keen to get stuck into everything!

There’s still loads of Fringey goodness, as well as some comedy, markets, a street festival and a rooftop party to wrap the weekend up.

Here’s what’s on this weekend in Perth.

Friday 5 February


This much-loved American comedian is back in Australia once again to star at Fringe World with his crazy and slightly confusing show titled ‘Keeper or Crapper’. This show is all about finding out which jokes should be keepers and which ones should go in the crapper. Arj Barker, we lovvveeee you!

Saturday 6 February


Kick off your Saturday evening by heading down to the South Beach sunset markets—formerly known as the Bathers Beach Sunset Markets. There will be mountains of yummy food and drinks, plenty of local entertainment, pop up stalls and a whole lotta green grass to lay down and enjoy the sunset over the beach. These markets will continue until March so make sure you head down and see what all the fuss is about.

Our pals from Baby Mammoth will be hosting the lads from Feral Brewing Company to showcase their latest and greatest craft beers from their Brewpub series on Saturday. Paired with delicious foody creations, make sure you write this one down in your diary and thank us later!

Just when we thought Northbridge couldn’t get any cooler, The Streetside Festival slaps us in the face! There will be exhibitions, music, performances, live painting, workshops and games… and we are excited. There will also be plenty of delicious food up for grabs so make sure you head down to William Street (between Roe St and Brisbane St) and enjoy the good vibes.

Gianni Schicchi (pronounced Jan-ee Ski-ki for all you non-operians) is the man behind the sound in this tale about family, love and passion. Head down to Langley Park this Saturday evening with a picnic rug and some nibbles and prepare to get cultured.

Another event on the Fringe World calendar that we are totally frothing over this year, is the Fringe World Fairground within Elizabeth Quay—and in this wonderful world full of imagination and creativity lays The Urban Roller Club. Now we all know that you secretly miss the 80’s days when big hair and shoulder pads were totally rad… so we’ve got some good news for ya’ll. The Urban Roller Club are hosting an 80’s Prom night! BYO skates or hire some there. Best news ever.

Sunday 7 February


If you’re a real sucker for locally made art and discovering new and emerging artists then the Perth Makers Market is for you. Finish off your weekend by heading up to the Heathcote Reserve in Applecross where you can fall in love with all the unique pieces on offer. The Perth Makers Market will be running bi-monthly all year long so make sure you check out their website for more deets!

If you’re in the mood for a little Sunday Sundowner in the city, then make sure you check out Bob’s Bar because the folks there are hosting a rooftop party for all you crazy kids.
