If there’s anything that can boost our gloomy winter moods, it’s a giant six-metre pit filled with 50,000 white balls. Coincidentally, that’s exactly what’s coming to Yagan Square this weekend (and for half of July!) thanks to City of Perth’s Winter Fest. What are the odds?!
But wait, it gets better. Once you’ve had your fill of ball-pit fun (including adults-only sessions, which means twice the fun with half the fear of losing a small child), this festy will keep providing the goods with free gigs going down every Thursday and Friday night from 12—27 July.
We’re talking a leave-you-in-stitches performance from comedian Joel Creasey, breathtaking music from Perth Symphony Orchestra, and a whole bunch of show from up-and-coming Triple J Unearthed artists that are sure to get your feet moving.
And all this is going down in a giant Winter Snow Dome. Yep, your suspicions are correct: this is what(Insta) dreams are made of. If nothing else, do it for the 'gram.
When: Giant ball pit: 30 June—11 July, live performances: 12—27 July
Where: Yagan Square
