Get excited, World Gin Day is back this Saturday 9 June to celebrate all things, well, gin... duh.
But, there’s a twist this year! World Gin Day crosses over with Negroni Week (which is made with gin, just in case you’ve been living under a rock) so you can expect everyone to be whipping up Negronis and gin cocktails all over town!
Here are all the Perth bars celebrating world gin day this year.
The Flour Factory
When a bar has over 100 gins from around the world, it’s safe to assume they’ll be celebrating World Gin Day. The Flour Factory is working in collaboration with Adelaide Hills Distillery this year to bring the very best with a good old Aussie focus. ADH makes a gin, vermouth and Italian bitter orange style amaro, while TFF will be featuring the Estate Negroni, as well as a signature GnT with their 78 degrees gin.
Guildhall knows the way to our heart. How do we know that? Well, they’re hosting a gin high tea this Saturday. Think two courses prepared by Propeller’s head chef, three cocktails and a gift to take home! There are two sittings—one at 11:30 and one at 2:30pm—so book your spot quick smart.
Perth’s largest rooftop bar, The Aviary isn’t missing out on any of the action this weekend, whipping up their own version of Negroni. Theirs is a rosemary & cucumber Negroni made with Bulldog Gin, Campari and Lillet Blanc.
Wolf Lane loves a reason to make a cocktail, so of course, they’ll be stirring one up for World Gin Day. These guys are also getting in on the Negroni action with a barrel aged Negroni made with Bulldog Gin, Cinzano 1757 and Campari. Yum.
Frisk. Small Bar
Hosting a one of a kind deal, Frisk. Small Bar is offering 50% off any gin over $18 (yes that means you can get top shelf gin for as little as $9). With over 160 gins in total, get there from Friday to Sunday to indulge.
Sweetwater Rooftop Bar
Sweetwater is keeping things sweet with their own take on a Negroni which is sure to please the ladies—it’s a pink Negroni! Made with Pinkster Gin, Gampri, Cinzano 1757 and topped with Fentimas Rose Lemonade, you’re going to want to try this.
The guys at No Mafia have just introduced a new gin & tonico list and if you like gin, you'll want to know about this. We're liking the look of the marconi italian gin and tonic served with lemon & rosemary, or for something a little more out there, try the rivo ‘foraged gin’ and tonic with plum and burnt rosemary.
Sit back and enjoy a special drink created by the team at The Reveley while taking in the views of Elizabeth Quay. The Phil Collins features gin, lemon sherbert, lavender honey and soda.
If you are after a good time, great drinks and great food The Stables has you sorted. With their own drink—Billionaire Boyz Club—you’ll want to get there this weekend. Think Sloe Gin, apricot brandy, Cheery Heering, Falernum, lemon, orange bitters and whites.
Market Grounds is offering multiple drinks in honour of World Gin Day because they just love cocktails that much. The Classic Negroni, Hibiscus Negroni and Barrel Aged Negroni are ready to get your hands now!
If that's not enough, here are 21 more fantastic things to do in Perth this weekend.
