There is a silent dinner party happening this weekend at Paddington Town Hall and we felt that it was important that we hastily tell you about this oddly intriguing event before the weekend actually hits.
It’s happening as part of the Sydney Fringe and it’s actually an international performance art project that revolves around a three course meal. This isn’t the first time that a silent dinner party has happened and in fact, there have been 36, hosted in 11 countries and 15 cities over the past 10 years.
You’ll have to get super creative with facial expressions, hand gestures and body language to communicate with your fellow diners. Also remember to have fun, because while you’re busting your rump trying to introduce yourself to the person next to you without saying even one single word, take a moment to look around and have a chuckle at the ridiculousness happening around you.
This one is dangerously close to selling out, so get on this and get on this fast guys.
What: World’s Largest Silent Dinner Party
When: Saturday 24 September at 7pm
Where: Paddington Town Hall – 249 Oxford Street, Paddington
