Cue the theme music and giant scrolling text, because your Star Wars-related dreams have just come true. Yep, the OG episode of George Lucas’ epic trilogy is coming to the big screen, accompanied by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Next February, in a galaxy far far away (well, the ICC Theatre) the Sydney Symphony will be using their Jedi mind powers to accompany a very special screening of Episode IV, A New Hope. Trust us, these ARE the tickets you’re looking for.
It’s a chance to shamelessly geek out, while listening to music that even your parents would have to acknowledge as a ‘cultural experience’. The fact that it comes with Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Sir Alec Guinness, so much the better. Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a limited-edition screening. Bonus points if you come dressed as a big walking carpet.
Book your spot (and one for every one of your mates) here.
