Sydney fans of the crab will get their ultimate fix when The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room launches its inaugural Crab Carnival on Tuesday 1 April through to Sunday 13 April.
A two-week celebration of food, fun and festivities, in honour of our favourite crustacean, the Crab Carnival is a must for any foodie.
Celebrity chef Sean Connolly has curated a crab-centric menu to tantalise your taste buds with highlights including: Crab Toast (snow crab, crème fraiche, lemon zest and chive on dark rye); Crab Linguine (snow crab, parsley, mint, chilli and lemon); and Cajun Spiced Crab. Wash it all down with the Craberol Cocktail (a tropical mix of Belvedere Pure and Aperol shaken with passion fruit, pineapple, fresh citrus and Peychards) and $5 Little Creatures Pale Ale.
Head to The Morrison on Wednesday 2 April and be sure to bring your bib for the ultimate crab-eating contest—the aim of the game is to consume an entire Cajun spiced crab, competing against Sean Connolly himself!
Over the fortnight, there will also be $5 crab tacos each evening between 6-7 pm. This is a happy hour that will have you coming back fore more.
If you like a good wager then Thursday nights are for you. The restaurant will be transformed with large tables and buckets of Hermit Crabs, as patrons enter in the running to win the title of Captain Crab Race.
Whether you're a crab novice or a crab connoisseur, get to The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room and be part of the biggest crab appreciation carnival Sydney has ever seen—yes!
