Movie Mondays at Soda Factory – The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
Get your Dr Seuss fix and make it to Movie Monday at the Soda Factory for The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. The Grinch is a classic Christmas flick, starring Jim Carey in arguably his most watchable role. Root for the citizens of Whoville as the Grinch tries to swipe anything holiday-related from under those bizarre upturned noses. Movie starts at 8pm but pop in early for $5 beers and hotdogs between 5pm and 7pm.

Christmas Whisky Dinner at Tokyo Bird
Forget gold, frankincense and myrrh—Tokyo Bird come bearing the best gift this Christmas. Join a group of other whisky lovers for a Christmas degustation of five unique Japanese blended and single malt whiskies rarely found in our fair city. Whisky from distilleries like Suntory, Nikka and Ichiro’s malt will be paired with five courses of izakaya-style food with a festive focus. Sydney Fish Market 36-Hour Seafood Marathon
Nothing says Aussie Christmas better than prawns by the bucket. Go head-to-head with every other Sydneysider at the 20th Sydney Fish Market’s 36-hour Seafood Marathon in Pyrmont. Retailers will open up shop from 5am on the 23rd and keep right on going until 5pm Christmas Eve. The big man himself will be there between 11am and 1pm to keep the tots entertained while you barter with the bleary-eyed fishmongers. Though additional parking is available at Sydney Secondary College, we recommend public transport for anyone predisposed to a parking-related meltdown.

Grey Goose 'Salon at Vine'
Feeling jittery about the in-laws breathing down your neck this Friday? Take the edge off at the Grey Goose pop-up salon bar at Vine in Double Bay. This French Riviera-inspired pop up bar will be in operation until the 31st of January—serving clever canapés and Grey Goose cocktails to anyone hungry for a little escapism. A delicate French-inspired canapé and a matching vodka cocktail will set you back $25. Feel refreshed drinking a Grand Pomme with Grey Goose L’Orange vodka, apricot brandy, Cynar, yuzu curd and house made apple soda.

Pop-up gin garden at MCA
Don something pretty and make your way to the pop-up gin garden at the Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art. Coinciding with the Grayson Perry: My Pretty Little Art Career exhibition, the MCA Gin Garden celebrates all things British and genteel. Home-grown distillery Archie Rose and Newtown based craft beer brewers Young Henrys are responsible for keeping the vibe light and cheery. This breezy little garden-scape is open Thursday to Sunday until early February.
