Finally, the old Paramount Pictures Building in Surry Hills will be reaching its full, glorious potential with the opening of the Golden Age Cinema & Bar. From art house to the classics—movie night has found a new home.
The first official screenings are on Friday the 6th of September. At the respectable time of 6:30pm, you can enjoy the fabulous Behind The Candelabra, or at 9:30pm some quintessential, retro-Italian horror with Suspiria.
One for the musical lovers, don't miss Sunday September the 8th Singin' in the Rain matinee. Personally, Tuesday night's (the 10th) screening of The Graduate is on my hit list. For the complete program head to the website.
To make things even better, the Golden Age Cinema is accompanied by a lovely new bar—ensuring your cinema-going experience has the appropriate 'candy bar' options. And for wine buffs, one of Margaret River's most-awarded wineries, Xanadu Wines, will be premiering its new vintages at the Golden Age Bar. The wine list will include the 2012 DJL Chardonnay and the 2011 DJL Cabernet Sauvignon.
Lights, camera, action.
