Mamma Mia! A Huge Italian Street Festival Is On This Weekend

Calling all Italians, Italian wannabes, and people who love all things Italian, a huge Italian festival is happening this weekend in Five Dock. With over 12,000 of Canada Bay’s residents having Italian heritage, it seems only fitting to celebrate this huge number with a day full of green, white and red pride… And more food than you can poke a cacciatore at.

Already in its 19th year, Ferragosto celebrates Italian culture in the best way possible—with food (and lots of it), wine, produce, music and, of course, cars. Alongside 160 stalls, there’ll be free rides for kids (soz, adults), cooking demonstrations and a whole bunch of Fiats, Ducatis and Alfa Romeos to ogle.

With the weather set to be bellissimo this weekend, there’s no excuse not to put on your eating pants and get you and your mates out for a day of eating, drinking and enjoying life in a way that would make the truest of Italians proud.
