Bridal Hair and Makeup Trends from the Runway

There really is no other day in your life when looking 'purty' is of the upmost importance, and, subsequently, choosing to go with one look over another can be quite the stress-fest.

There are a lot of factors to consider when deciding how to wear your tresses and which shade of lipstick to choose, and your look on the day will likely be dictated by your personal style, your best friend's opinion, and, if we're being honest, that picture of Sienna Miller you ripped out of a magazine three years ago.

That said, it can't hurt to be on top of what the cool kids are doing. To help you out, we've taken the hottest looks from the Spring 2014 runways and distilled them down to the most wearable wedding day beauty trends.

The Statement Lip

For the bold bride a statement lip could be just the ticket to take you from drab to fab, and this season it's all about orange. Pair your lips with a clean eyeliner flick, or a muted, natural eyeshadow.

The Natural Beauty

Where you saw it: Calvin Klein

Team a peachy sweep of eye shadow with soft, full brows and a sheer pink stain on lips for a youthful, clean and natural bridal look. A super-dewy complexion keeps this look fresh.

The Un-Done 'Do

Channel your inner dishevelled, sexy siren and opt for a wedding day 'do that has a playful charm. Team your deconstructed chignon with sun-kissed skin for an easy, relaxed bridal look.

The Romantic Plait

Where you saw it: Rachel Zoe

There's something very 'we just eloped on a horse' about this French braid. One for the romantic brides, we like it with blushed cheeks and bare lids.

The Disco Diva

Where you saw it: Donna Karan

Karan embraced a very '70s sleek hair style, pairing super-shiny tresses, peachy-bronzed cheeks with glossed lips and subtle, brown smokey eyes. Full, feathery lashes pull it all together. One for the bride who likes to party, this look will add some flair to both boho and minimalist gowns.

Fairy Princess Hair

Where you saw it: Zac Posen

Posen's beauty look may have an element of Ice Queen about it, but this easy swirling up-do, adorned with soft flowers, is a fresh-take on the floral garlands and daisy-chains of yore. While you might have trouble pulling off Posen's blue blooms, opt for creams or pinks and you'll be rocking this style down the aisle.
