Well whaddaya know Brisbane, we all thought we’d reached peak burger domination with the arrival of Neil Perry’s Burger Project and Noosa’s darling, Betty’s, but clearly our appetite has not nearly been sated. Let go of your waistlines and just embrace it, folks, Super Combo Brisbane’s newest burger joint is coming!
The brainchild of infamous Melbourne eatery, NSHRY, Super Combo will open on King St, joining a slew of other big foodie names—Rockpool’s Royal Shack and The Lamb Shop to name but a few—and takes inspo from owners Michael and Hao’s love for the iconic arcade game Street Fighter.
Super Combo’s burgers will have global influences, just like the characters of the much-loved game and will serve up some pretty hefty thick shakes to quench your thirst. Add to that a wild choice of local and internationally sourced condiments, and you’ve got yourself a hot contender for Brisbane’s best burger joint.
So whether you were into the game or not (I’m a die-hard Chun-Li fan myself), the burgers at Super Combo will be anything but gimmicky.
Super Combo is set to open doors on March 9. Be there or be square!
