Brisbane, have you ever dreamt of your very own Alice in wonderland-style tea party in the heart of the place you love most? Well listen up because we have some VERY exciting news for you.
Dîner en Blanc, the world's biggest outdoor dinner, is back in Brisbane and seriously better than ever. While there are no mad hatters, and especially no Alices, the tradition of the dinner is to dress in white from head to toe, and indulge yourself in gourmet fare, celebratory mingling, live music and dancing.
Launched with just a handful of friends by entrepreneur François Pasquier nearly 30 years ago, Le Dîner en Blanc originated within the beautiful city of all things baguettes and croissaints (Paris, if you were wondering) and now assembles over 10,000 guests every year with a record 15,000 people attending the 25th anniversary in 2013. Woah.
Set in a mystery location, this pop-up picnic in Brisbane seats over 2,000 people in an outdoor dining precinct, inviting diners to bring their own tables and chairs, fine china, silverware and table adornments. All to craft a white-hued evening of elegant wining and dining and it's simply phenomenal every time.
What's even more incredibly convenient is that this year diners can BYO a gastronomic feast or opt for Dîner's hospitality partner in crime, Dalton Co., to craft a gourmet picnic basket for them.
Registrations are now open to join the feast, but hurry, spots are expected to fill up fast!
