The first half of 2015 had given us Coco Whip, crinkle fries, burgers by the bucket load, and more doughnuts that we know what to do with. We've been eating our way through the best new restaurants in Brisbane to bring you the hero dishes you gotta get your chompers around. Warning: this list contains Whoopie pies, peanut butter and jelly waffles, hot dogs, dessert fries, doughnut burgers, and more... We can't wait to taste what the next 6 months have in store.

  1. A burger of your choosing at Ben’s Burgers. They’re all THAT good.
  2. Coffee and hotcakes at hipster palace, Irving Place. #instagood.
  3. The Strawberry Glazed Doughnut Burger with Birthday Cake Ice Cream at Alfred & Constance. Immediately.
  4. Dorito covered Popcorn Chicken at The Lucky Egg.
  5. A Thai dinner feast at Paw Paw Cafe with a Coco Whip Sundae for dessert.
  6. An alternative acai bowl from fresh new face, Pineapple Express in Hamilton.
  7. Peanut Butter and Jelly Waffles from Red Hook.
  8. A Rocky Road Hot Chocolate from Noosa Chocolate Factory on Adelaide Street. It’s Winter. You’re allowed to.
  9. Red Velvet Cupcake smoothie from the Pressed Juices cave tucked away in the CBD.
  10. Sunday brunch on the balcony of Chapter IV, the hailed Paddington newcomer.
  11. Farrier’s pork buns and Chinese doughnuts as a midnight (or 2am) snack.
  12. A Matcha Latte from the wholesome Bowen Arrow Cafe.
  13. Locavore Cafe’s French Toast with Raspberry Filled Brioche.
  14. Cuvee Lounge Bar’s Croissants and Cocktails. A combo that is everything you could hope for.
  15. A Peanut Butter Whoopie Pie at Cakes by Judy C.
  16. Every single flavour brownie you can get your hands on from I Heart Brownies’ new Bakery Lane store.
  17. Coney Island Waffles and an Oreo Milkshake from NKB Express.
  18. Cookie Monster Milky Bun’s from Choc Komberry Co’s van of joy. #nutellaexplosion.
  19. A authentic Italian Pizza Pie from Pizzartist in West End.
  20. The Pavlova Ice-Cream Sundae at Chur Burger. Because you’re a patriotic Aussie.
  21. A cold-pressed green juice from Skull It Juice Bar. Because you had the Pavlova Ice-Cream Sundae for dinner last night.
  22. Banoffee Hotcakes with caramel, cinnamon and banana from Little Loco Cafe.
  23. The Tree House’s selection of organic beers. That’s right, you should have tried them all by now.
  24. A Cocktail Jug and an Ice-Cream Sandwich from Miss Kay’s.
  25. Pan seared scallops at the little-bit-fancy Affinity in Paddington.
  26. King Arthur’s Sourdough Crumpets with Rhubarb and Honeycomb Crumble.
  27. A scotch on the rocks at Maker bar on artsy Fish Lane.
  28. Toasted Banana Bread topped with Bacon from Apples on Ainsworth in Salisbury. It’s worth the trek.
  29. The Caramelised Onion and Scrambled Egg with Feta Hot-Dog from food truck, Gourmet H-Dogz.
  30. The ridiculously good tasting pho at Cafe O-Mai in Annerley.
  31. A signature Expresso Martini at Emjays Coffee in the CBD. Clear your Friday evening schedule now.
  32. Fish Lane Bistro’s infamous twice cooked duck with a beer or ten.
  33. A smooth coffee and salad stuffed baguette from hole in the wall, Steamtrain Expresso Bar in Red Hill.
  34. A meat platter washed down with a craft beer at Ascot’s new fave, The Stables Craft Bar & Kitchen.
  35. A fresh Vietnamese salad bowl at Wham Bam Banh Me in The Barracks.
  36. Anything with the house baked bread at Paddington gem, Cayenne Kitchen and Bar.
  37. 5 Boroughs' whisky and bourbon menu options with a good ol’ fashioned hot dog.
  38. Sourdough waffles from South Brisbane’s fresh new cafe, Gauge. YASSSS.
  39. Deedot Coffee House’s peach iced tea while sitting outside on the lovely cafe’s terrace. Utterly sensational.
  40. Grilled haloumi on the side of your colourful Cocktail at The Palms Bar and Grill at newly renovated Garden City.
  41. Mean Beanz Espresso’s Nutella Latte. Enough said.
  42. A house brewed beer and a bloody sensational cheese plater at Brisbane Brewing Co. Thank us later.
  43. Brussel Sprout dishes at The Jam Pantry. This is not a joke―you’re bound to love these crazy good alterations on the most healthy of vegetables.
  44. An all-day breakfast special whilst playing a vintage board game on a Tuesday night. What a combo! Experience it all at The Fox & Rabbit Coffee Co in Paddington.
  45. Sugar-Free Treats and wonderful Coffee at West End cozy nook, Green Bees Organics.
  46. Chip Tease’s chips with Nacho Fiesta topping or dessert chips with Nutella, maple syrup and cream. Really.
  47. Soft shell crab bao with apple slaw at Longtime, the Thai late night specialists in Fortitude Valley.
  48. Cheese fries at the Red Robin Supper Truck which now resides in the backyard of South Side Tea Room.
  49. Pork buns at Happy Boy, followed by a few wines to begin your night on the town.
  50. Peanut butter and choc chip cookies fresh from the wood fired over at Sorellina in Wooloongabba. #winning.
