It’s going to be a big year for Brisbane food truck icon, King of the Wings. Not content with trundling around to the delight of thousands, the Brisbane-based wing experts are firstly preparing for appearances at two pop-up kitchens: the first in yet-to-be-opened Welcome To Bowen Hills food truck hub, and the second in the new CBD waterside precinct, Riverland.
This is all on top of their regular gigs, so the wingmasters are going to be heckin busy and even busier when you consider that King of the Wings is on the verge of a major expansion. Yep, Brisbane’s favourite wings are preparing to set up permanent digs!
The Gold Coast will be the first port of call for a permanent King of the Wings eatery. For the lucky bastards on the GC, this means gnarly chunks of some of the South-East’s tastiest wings in all kinds of flavours including southern spice (a different south), traditional buffalo, and some spicier numbers to challenge your tolerance, and all available in serves of up to 30 wings (the Nebuchadnezzar of wing packs).
Silver lining for us Brissy locals? They're not flying the Brisbane food truck nest anytime soon, and let's be honest, we spend half our weekends on the GC anyway...
Keep up with King of the Wings on their social for more details as they roll out.
