PSA: Salt Meats Cheese Opens Today—Welcome To Carb-Loading Heaven!

Any not familiar with the juggernaut that is Salt Meats Cheese, listen up and listen good: home to incredible pizzas, pastas (yes, of course they do pasta in a flaming cheese wheel), Salt Meat Cheese also make their own cheese, hold regular masterclasses, they have a deli that sources some of the best local, national and international produce one could only dream of, oh, and their restaurant arm of the business serves up some of the most authentic Italian this side of the Mediterranean. It’s exhausting just writing it all down.

So, yeah, we’re pretty damn excited to hear that Salt Meats Cheese has finally (FINALLY!) opened its doors in Newstead today!

 Residing in the gorgeous Haven development, this is technically Salt Meats Cheese’s second location in SEQ (we have been frequenting the Gold Coast location for many months now) but it is their first bricks and mortar footprint in Brisbane aside from their totally cute food truck, Fuel—and we have to say, it’s stunning.

Inside, the SMC team have set up their iconic wood-fired pizza oven—because what is life without pizza—in front of the floor-to-ceiling retractable glass doors, with a large bar directly across serving up all your Italian cocktail and aperitif faves. The space itself is light and bright—perfect for Aperol drinking, but most importantly, we’ll be coming here for all of the carbs, all of the time.

Do yourself a favour; gather your hungriest pals and settle in.
