Thai food—the most magnificent of ALL the food groups—needs no introduction... but we're going to anyway. Fragrant green curries, mountains of fragrant fried rice and and oodles of noodles sit very high on our righteous lists of food favourites. Not only that, Thai is the perfect comfort food for absolutelty any occasion. Had a not-so-great day at work? Pad Thai. Dinner and the next episode of the Bachelor? Pad See Ew. Hate the thought of washing dishes? Takeaway Thai for the whole family.

But for Thai culture, there is so much more than what meets the eye, exceeding even their incredible culinary skills.

Enter: Brisbane’s one and only Thai festival! If you thought Thai cuisine, tradition, craft and entertainment just needed their own free festival, your prayers have been answered.

Taking place Sunday September 3, traditional Thai masked drama ‘Khon’ will join the festivities on the day, along with Muay Thai Boxers, musicians and some of the finest chefs this side of Bangkok. Renowned Thai restaurants across Queensland will be dishing up firm favourites—and did we mention the festival will have its very own beer and wine garden popping up? Score!

Save the date!
