Five runner's up will also get double passes to Gourmet Village for Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November so you can eat and drink yourself silly. Just enter below!

There are a heap of other events you don’t want to miss like the Howard Park 30th Anniversary lunch with Scott Picket and Paul Iskov, McConnells Kitchen at Cullens, Quay to the Celler with Joan Roca—world #2 of World’s 50 Best Restaurants—collaborating with Peter Gilmore of Quay, Bennelong plus so much more.

The main event, as always, is the Gourmet Village which will be in full swing at Leeuwin Estate on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20  November. Here are 10 reasons why you absolutely cannot miss it this year.

Nigella!

The one and only Nigella Lawson is heading to Margaret River for the first time ever so you need to go and be the best West Aussie you can be so we can convince her to come back every year! She will be hanging out in the Village on both days appearing on the Chef’s Theatre stage and she’ll also be doing book signings (get in quick because tickets are selling FAST!)

Sweets & Treats Masterclasses

Dessert lovers rejoice because Rebecca Sullivan will be walking you through a few sweets recipes using the very best local produce like local honey, Bahen & Co chocolate and seasonal fruit from the South West region in the Sweets & Treats Masterclasses. Yum.

Battle Of The Breweries With Mane Liquor

Get ready for a hop off guys! Local crafters will be putting the best brews forward and you, the taster, will get to decide who wins each round at Battle of the Breweries. Beer specialist Elliot Moore from Mane Liquor will be there to keep you in order and give you the lowdown on each beer so you’ll walk away with a little extra beer knowledge than you started with.

Around The Barrel

Around the Barrel is back and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever with the addition of gourmet food pairings to go along with all of the wine! Wine critic Nick Stock will be schooling you in what makes the perfect wine and local restaurants and producers will be providing some sumptuous bites to go along with each drop.

Wusthof Knife Skillery

There’s nothing quite like watching a chef in action with his knives is there? Go and watch Guy Grossi and Chef de Home's Ben Knights show off their skills before giving it a go yourself. Once you’ve done some chopping, sit down and enjoy the meal you’ve created and quiz the chefs to find out everything you’ve always wanted to know.

WA’s Best Restaurants

Efficiency, efficiency, efficiency! Sometimes you don’t have time to make it to all the restaurants you want to get to, and how do you choose one over another? WA’s Best Restaurants is solving all of our dilemmas by getting Vasse Felix, Xanadu Wines, Leeuwin Estate, Rustico @ Hayshed Hill, Mt Barker Chicken, Linley Valley Pork AND The Apple Daily Bar & Eating House in the one place. There will be tasting plates from each venue so you can try a bit of everything!

Table Of Eight

If you’re after something a bit more intimate (and super exclusive) Table of Eight is for you. Sit onstage amongst the action while chefs like Nigella Lawson, Guy Grossi and Rick Stein do their thang, all while being served the best food and wine that the south west has to offer. These sessions are selling out so book quickly or you’ll miss out.

Consuming Conversations In Association With Food Network

If you’re interested in talking about food as well as eating it (and you should be) then head along to Consuming Conversations. There will be a mix of culinary masterminds talking about food trends, hyperlocality and produce selection and giving their two cents about what’s going to big in the food world in the coming years.

Lurpak Pantry

Mmmmm butter. And not just any butter. Lurpak butter. Use the breaks in your day to get involved in a 15 minute session using this delicious butter to make something amazing!

Artisan Producers Market

Get your cash at the ready and go and check out some of WA’s best producers at the Artisan Producers Market. There will be wine, cider, beer, chocolate and plenty of gourmet goods so try to go hungry (and thirsty!)

Remember to arrive at Gourmet Village all cashed up as there are no ATMs and make sure you organise transport so you can enjoy all of the wine and beer! Book your tickets to Gourmet Village and all of the other events on offer here.
