4 Easy Summer Looks We Can’t Wait To Try

By Chloe Sputore - 27 Oct 2017

Summer’s a coming and that means it must be time for a shopping spree—heck yes! And, as always, with the new season comes a whole lot of new looks to try, from gingham and embroidery to off the shoulder tops and block heels.

While Carillon City might not be the first place you think of when you start planning your new wardrobe, you’re going to want to hear us out because there are some seriously stylish (and not to mention affordable) looks coming out of the shops in Carillon City, plus if you spend $10 or more at any participating store between 15 October and 30 November you will go in the draw to win a Spring Indulgence Experience valued at $2,000. And let’s not forget about all of the delicious eats from the likes of Gangnam Korean BBQ and Freshii.

Now enough about food and onto the fashion, here are four easy summer looks we can’t wait to try this year!

Gingham

Been spotting a lot of gingham around lately? Us too, and we’re stoked. A bold pattern you can rock in a dress, pants, shorts or top, the fashionistas are mixing this look up this summer with ruffles, frills and embroidery. Would it be too much to say that gingham is the new stripes? Possibly. Do we care? Not one bit!

We love:
A-line Gingham Dress from Cue, $255

Embroidery

Embroidery is back in a big way this summer, be it on denim, mesh fabrics, swimwear or accessories. It’s mostly floral and in bold colours, which we love. Choose something simple like an embroidered flower on a crisp white tee or go all out with a head-to-toe embroidered dress.

We love:
Embroidered Floral Tulle Tee from Cue, $185

Off-The-Shoulder-Tops

Off-the-shoulder tops are back in a big way this summer, featuring more flouncy details and cool takes on the button-down boyfriend shirt. OTS bikinis are also very now and we think we might have just worked up the courage to try this bare shoulder look this summer…now, where’s that fake tan?

We love:
Off The Shoulder Tassel Dress from Sportsgirl, $69.95

Block Heels & Platforms

Because we can’t get enough of the 90s we also can’t get enough of block heels and platforms. When it comes to block heels, we go gaga for suede slides in bright colours (think orange and blue), and for platforms, it’s all about the sneakers—comfort central!

We love:
Excite Poinciana Heels from Ziera, $199.95
