Let There Be Light | Perth’s Festival Of Lights Is Back

If you don’t have 20/20 vision it might be time to get your eyes checked because Perth’s most beautiful festival of lights is back this November, and you want to be seeing clearly for this one!

Kaleidoscope will be returning to the City of Joondalup for four huge nights of lights, food and fun from Thursday 9 November to Sunday 12 November and we’ve got our sights set on taking some happy snaps with the All You Need Is Love wings which were a hit at Burning Man (talk about Insta goals).

We also can’t wait to marvel at the gigantic humanoid sculptures of Fantastic Planet, and don’t even get us started on the Birds Of Lumos. Once you’re done scoping out those beauties, let the Will-O-The-Wisps take you away to a land of whimsy before having your happy snap taken and projected on the side of a building at interactive exhibit, Face Off. And we’ve been told Combs' (Tristan Garner’s) stunning projection mapping piece, Cast, which can be seen on the administration building cannot be missed.

Now, we wouldn’t have you travelling all the way to Joondalup without the prospect of some delicious food, which is why we’re stoked to report that Kaleidoscope will also be home to all of our favourite food trucks. Be sure to come with a huge appetite because it’s going to be tough to choose between Jumplings dumplings, Brotziet’s Bavarian hot dogs, the poutine from Get Rich Or Die Frying, Mezcal’s tacos, curry toasties from Toast My Curry, Sesame Cuisine’s tagine and anything from Sultan Pepper Food Truck. Check out the other 40 plus food trucks that will be pulling up to Kaleidoscope to keep your tummies happy!

Be sure to pop into Gage Roads’ themed Kastaway Bar and enjoy some of their award-winning beers (or a sip of something else from the fantastic selection of premium drinks on offer). And rest assured, Bootlegger Coffee Co have all your caffeine requirements sorted, and we can confirm your night will be 100 times better with some of JD’s illuminated neon fairy floss.

On top of all of that there will be music to enjoy and plenty of fun to be had for the kiddos. Check out the full schedule of events here and add this incredible event to your November calendar now!
