Perth, Donate To Developing Communities By Buying Lunch This Week

6th May 2019

We’re all about finding easy ways to incorporate philanthropy in our day-to-day life. Enter: Allendale Square’s One Plate initiative.

This May, in partnership with One World, One Plate, local Perth foodies will create delicious, limited-edition dishes, with $1 from each dish to be donated to help support sustainable food projects in developing communities around the world. There are some seriously droolworthy feeds on offer, so get your forks at the ready.

Lalla Rookh

Classic Italian cuisine made with love and years of experience, it’s safe to say Head Chef Alexandra Haynes knows a thing or two about making a mouth-watering dish. Settle into the Lalla Rookh bar, lounge or courtyard and order their limited-edition veal cotoletta with Italian slaw for $34 and help raise funds while you’re at it.

77 Social

Sporting a 70s milk bar atmosphere and epic rooftop bar, 77 Social is the perfect spot for lunch or an after-work drink. As part of the initiative, prepare yourself for their classic cheeseburger, $14, with a double beef patty, lettuce, tomato, mustard mayo, pickles, diced onion and relish.

Mary Street Bakery

If you’re looking for delicious baked goods, mouth-watering all-day breakfast, famous doughnuts, and a good cup of coffee, look no further. Jumping on board the initiative, Mary Street Bakery will be serving up their blue swimmer crab omelette with XO, coriander, bean shoots, lime, chilli and peanuts for just $22. If you’re feeling like your microwave oats just won’t cut it, you can feel guilt-free lashing out on this boujee breakfast.

A mecca for busy professionals due to their speedy service, Zensaki Japanese canteen serves up authentic, fresh cuisine and is known for their signature zensaki taste. Forget tuna and rice and feel good about tucking into their iconic chicken katsu curry with Japanese rice for $11.90. Any excuse to not meal prep for the week, right?

Authentic Bites Dumpling House

Serving up some of Perth’s best dumplings, it’s no wonder there’s always a line at Authentic Bites Dumpling House. Take a seat and watch the pros in action through the glass window while you wait for their drool-worthy pork & prawn wonton in spice sauce, $12.50. It’s well worth the wait.

Get around good food for a good cause this May with Allendale Square’s One World, One Plate initiative.
