Perth’s Getting A Stunning AF New Restaurant Dedicated To Meat And Wine

Meat-lovers, listen up! There’s a brand spanking new and utterly gorgeous restaurant arriving in Perth next month and we need to talk about it.

Hailing from Sydney and Melbourne, The Meat & Wine Co has just announced they are heading west and, much to our delight, they are landing in one of Perth’s most beautiful buildings: The Palace Hotel.

Let us break that down for you. The established restaurant is known for their specialty premium meats and complementary wines, not to mention their seriously lavish bespoke interiors. That means, not only will you be able to devour delectable cuts cooked to perfection (they’re famous for their Monte Beef steaks and succulent slow cooked ribs), you’ll be doing it in the total elegance of a heritage building reimagined to feel more like an art gallery than a restaurant.

The Meat & Wine Co are no rookies on the dining scene - their outposts in Sydney and Melbourne have earned the brand a string of accolades - but with the Perth menu said to offer dishes like whisky cured salmon and premium Angus steak, we’re sure it's going to give its predecessors a run for their money.

And because you can’t have meat without wine, expect some of our fine state’s most coveted vinos to make an appearance on the beverage menu. The brand’s ‘Liquid Master’ Joel Davis says that the wine list is deliberate in supporting local producers, with wines from Cape Mentelle, Vasse Felix, Amelia Park and Cullen all set to be served under Coravin, meaning you might be able to sample some of those high-end vintages usually reserved for bottle purchases! If that’s not reason enough to get there, we don’t know what is.

Rounding out the dining experience is, of course, the bespoke decor in which cutting edge design meets the old world luxury of this 1897 heritage hotel. The restaurant’s modern Afro-centric fit out heroes the building’s Gold Rush-inspired interior, with elegance, sophistication and comfort at the forefront. Think original herringbone floors and detailed ceilings set off with brass details, opulent chairs and hanging feature lightshades. We love seeing our beautiful old buildings being reinterpreted and put to delicious use, so it’s safe to say we’re counting down the days until it officially opens on September 12.

The Meat & Wine Co creates a ‘home away from home’ with it's exceptional food and beverage offering, impressive design and friendly service and we’re already salivating at the thought of digging into the succulent menu on our home turf. Head here to book now for opening week.
