Pumpkins have got to be one of the most versatile veggies on the planet—you can roast them, smash them, put them in desserts and drink them. You can even dry the seeds and eat them for a tasty snack or hollow them out to create jack-o-lanterns. If we had to choose one veggie to eat for the rest of our lives it would have to be the pumpkin.

Here’s some of Perth’s best pumpkin dishes.

Roast Pumpkin Tartine | tbsp

Bayswater

Kicking off the bunch with a dish that packs a pumpkin punch—the roast pumpkin tartine from tbsp is delicious. Honey roasted pumpkin, ricotta, fennel, red onion and coriander on walnut toast topped with a tasty fennel pistou.

Pumpkin Smash | Esprezzo

Noranda

Pumpkin smash is the new avo smash, there I said it. The smash from Ezprezzo in Noranda is to die for—spiced roast pumpkin and goats cheese combine to make the creamiest mash ever, served on crunchy sourdough toast with wilted spinach, avocado and a poached egg. Add some pulled pork to take this bad boy to the next level.

Pumpkin Bruschetta | Garden Cafe On Guildford

Maylands

We can’t help but re-order the smashed pumpkin bruschetta stack from Maylands’ newbie cafe Garden Cafe On Guildford. Served on toast with Danish feta, fried egg and balsamic drizzle, it’s so delicious you may even order a second serving!

Pumpkin And Taleggio Ravioli | Threecoins Italian Trattoria

Mount Lawley

For a huge dose of pumpkin melt-in-your mouth deliciousness, look no further than Threecoins Italian Trattoria. Their pumpkin and taleggio will have you moaning from the first bite—served with white truffle oil, butter, sage and parmesan sauce.

Pumpkin Pie | The Old Crow

Northbridge

Hooray, the humble pumpkin pie has finally made its way to our shores and they’re serving up a killer slice at The Old Crow in Northbridge. Served with honey cream and some tasty pepita brittle, this is a must try for pumpkin lovers in Perth.

Smashed Pumpkin | Piccolo’s Corner

West Leederville

Piccolo’s Corner serve up some of the most delicious breakfasts in Perth and their smashed pumpkin served on toasted ciabatta with Danish feta, wilted spinach, pesto and a poached egg is one of the best.

Pumpkin Gnocchi | Bib & Tucker

North Fremantle

Gnocchi and pumpkin go hand in hand and pumpkin lovers definitely won’t regret ordering the delicious morsels served at Bib & Tucker. Brown butter, sage, kale, roast pumpkin, goats curd and walnut pangrattato—yes!

Pumpkin And Cornbread | Sayers Sister

We love everything at Sayers Sister, especially their cornbread with maple roasted ironbark pumpkin. This lovely dish is served with baked ricotta, blackened corn salsa and poached eggs.

Pumpkin Mash | Moore & Moore Cafe

Fremantle

We could eat pumpkin mash for days, especially the burnt butter and sage pumpkin mash whipped up at Moore & Moore Cafe. This one is served with spinach, poached eggs, Turkish toast and walnuts.

Dukkah Roasted Pumpkin | Good Things Cafe

We can’t forget the dukkah roasted pumpkin from Good Things Cafe. Served on roti with maple bacon, basil pesto, rocket and fried eggs, you’ll be in pumpkin heaven in no time at all.
