5 Awesome Things To Do In Sydney This Week

If you’re still getting over the New Year’s festivities and are yet to get on top of those damn resolution to do less Netflix bingeing and more actual living, we got you. This week, Sydney is turning on the rooftop cinemas, gin dinners and a cheeky trivia night to boot.

Grab your crew or go it alone—but either way, tick off every single one. Here are the best things happening in Sydney this week.

Monday 29 January

Open Air Rooftop Cinema

Thanks to The Rook, Sydney CBD is now sporting an open air rooftop cinema and seriously, where have you been all our lives? Kicking off this Monday, they’ll be screening the classic film Cocktail and as an added (and very necessary) bonus, your ticket will include a complimentary movie-themed cocktail on arrival and obviously, you’ll be able to nab yourself some popcorn too. Four Pillars Gin Dinner

Calling all gin fans—it’s time to tune in. This Tuesday, Australia’s leading craft gin brand, Four Pillars, has teamed with Regatta Rose Bay to host a Gin dinner and obviously it’ll be damn delish. Your ticket includes a welcome cocktail, plus a four-course dinner, each paired with one of Four Pillar’s signature tipples. A night filled with gin and all of the food sounds pretty great to us—book here.

Open (Back to School) Mic Night

If you’re a sucker for an open mic night and are just itching to show of your musical prowess, then you’ll want to hit this one up. It’s going down at The Gasoline Pony this Tuesday and really, we think the words ‘open mic night’ really tell you everything you need to know. More details here

Seinfeld Trivia Night

We’ll just get this out of the way straight up—this is your chance to finally put that (arguably, pretty damn useless) Seinfeld knowledge to good use. Since I Left You is hosting a Seinfeld Trivia night this Tuesday and it’s even going to have a bonus music round. Re-live your fave Seinfeld eps while enjoying a cocktail or two and pick up a couple of prizes along the way; we have faith in you. Details here

Find Your Tribe

The Indigo Project is our all-time favourite place to chill out in Sydney (seriously, if you haven’t been to one of their nap classes yet, you need to). And if 2018 is already feeling like a bit of a beast, you might want to head to this Find Your Tribe class. Mary Hoang, head psychologist and founder of The Indigo Project has organised monthly gatherings focused on self-reflection, meditations, community and connection. Basically, this is your excuse to make time for yourself, take a much-needed break and meet like-minded people. Details here.
