The Drop festival gold coast

Nothing says the Gold Coast more than epic surf beaches and uber talented local musicians. So, it only stands to reason that both of them should come together to create one seriously rad festival.

Following the Australian leg of the World Surf League Championship tour, The Drop festival will roll into Coolangatta on April 6. For one epic day, Queen Elizabeth Park will transform into a hotspot of sweet live tunes and no doubt some of the world’s biggest and best surfing stars care of the Quiksilver Pro.

But the talent won’t just be in the ocean, with the line-up for the festival featuring a bunch of amazing acts including Angus and Julia Stone, Client Liaison, Jungle Giants, Hockey Dad and Alex The Astronaut. Yep, this is one festival you’re not going to want to miss.

Now in its second year, Coolangatta is the third stop on the nation-wide tour, with The Drop making pit stops at WSL Qualifying Series events Surfest Newcastle and the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro.

The Drop Festival is a proudly local and environmentally sustainable event so expect delicious food trucks, great vibes and a strong community culture coming together to celebrate our shared loved of the ocean. We think that’s pretty special.
