Hardcore Potter-fans better whip out the Visa because the Harry Potter Film Concert Series continues with a classical rollick through the Grammy-nominated scores of the Goblet of Fire.
Definitely suited to the classically (or magically) inclined, this event is brought to us by the dexterous talent of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, who will be belting out the smash compositions from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in sync with a screening of the full feature.
Get yourself front and centre and witness firsthand the power and the glory of John Williams’ legendary scores. Everything from the lesser-known theme of ‘Harry in Winter’ to deadest bangers like ‘Hedwig’s Song’ (better known as the twinkly theme of the entire film enterprise) will be performed in full while HP and friends tussle with the demonic influence of a possessed diary.
As anyone who’s listened to the soundtrack will tell you, the whimsical fantasy of Williams’ music evokes nothing short of a stoke tornado that’ll send you racing home to re-read the entire series all over again.
When: Saturday 9 February 2019, 1.30pm and 7.30pm
