McDonald’s Is Trialling A Vegan Burger & We Don’t Even Know What To Think

McDonald's vegan burger

Peanut butter and jelly. Kim and Kanye. Avo and toast. Some things just go together. But McDonald's and vegan? Well, it's just not something we've ever really considered before. So you can imagine our surprise when we heard that Maccy D's would be trialling a vegan burger—the McVegan no less—for the next six weeks.

The McVegan is made with a soy patty and has most of the same toppings you'd expect from any Macca's burger—tomato, lettuce, etc. etc.—but of course comes sans cheese and mayo. And no, they're not messing around with any of this fake cheeze biz, so don't even ask.

Don't get too excited, you can't get the McVegan in Oz or NZ just yet—they are testing it out in Finland, but if all goes well then you'd assume it might pop up here soon enough, right?

But the real question is: are you into it? We're reserving judgement for now.

In other news, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tarts just released a new flavour.
