Perth burger lovers will be all too familiar with Smashburger BBQ and their American style burgers. Regulars at Bayswater Bowls club, the pop-up has managed to gain a cult-like following with the people of Perth desperate to get a burger fix whenever and wherever Smashburger popped up next—even if it means lining up for hours.
That’s why we thought you’d be pretty excited to hear that Tristan, the legend behind the iconic burgers at Smashburger BBQ, has decided to branch out and open a bricks and mortar burger shop, Bad Love Burger Co. And after patiently waiting for the launch, we're stoked to see it's finally open.
Taking up residence on Harrogate Street in West Leederville, Bad Love Burger Co is slinging a bunch of the old Smashburger favourites you know and love as well as new things like buttermilk fried chicken burgers. Oh and did we mention they also do booze? Yep, because what better to wash down one of their famous burger than a cold craft beer.
We're also eagerly awaiting the soon-to-come cheesesteaks, which Tristan has been working hard on, and can't wait to see what rotating weekly specials are in store. For now, though, they're just focussing on getting the doors open, firing up the kitchen, and serving up some quality burgs, so they'll only be running with a small menu to start.
Bad Love Burger Co is now open for lunch (11am–2.30pm) and dinner (5pm–8.30pm) Wednesday to Saturday. We suggest you get down before too many people catch on, because if their pop-ups are anything to go by, it's only a matter of time before the queues start to form.
