The race that stops the nation is just around the corner and there are plenty of Melbourne Cup events happening around town worth getting frocked up for. But if the races just aren't your vibe, don’t worry, you don’t have to stay at home—The Garden in Leederville is hosting a micro-wine festival instead.
Brought to you by the local legends from online wine store, Heroes and Comrades, the NOT Melbourne Cup Party will see seven epic WA wine stalls pop-up at The Garden. Sip the day away on a first-class selection of natural wines from the likes of Stormflower Vineyards, Ghost Rock Supernatural, Walsh and Sons Wines, Vanguardist Wines, Mon Tout Wines, Electric Dreams and Brackenwood Vineyard.
They’ve also got a gourmet sausage sizzle (including options for vegans) lined up to keep you properly fueled all day long, as well as live entertainment, with local DJ’s spinning tunes well into the arvo.
The Garden’s NOT Melbourne Cup Party kicks off from 12pm on Tuesday 3 November, and the races will not be aired. You’ll still get to put on your fabulous outfits, though, especially since there’s a prize for the best non-cup outfit up for grabs.
Tickets are just $25, so if you don’t want to support the Cup but still love an excuse to get frocked up and enjoy a boozy mid-week sesh, be sure to round up your mates and get tickets.
When: Tuesday 3 November from 12pm - 4pm
Where: The Garden Leederville
Tickets available here.
