Stable Hands opened in Freo a few weeks back and it’s gotta be one of the prettiest cafes we’ve ever laid eyes on. With a minimalist feel and so much natural light, it’s the kind of place you never want to leave.
It felt like we were waiting an absolute age for Meat Candy to open so we were pretty stoked when it opened just around the corner from The Urban List office! With epic fried chicken, a plethora of smoked meats and epic bloody mary’s, this might be our new regular.
Mason & Bird
The brain child of Print Hall's former head chef, Brad Johnston and the ex-venue and bar manager of Rockpool, Matt Nguyen, Mason & Bird is less fine dining and more of a casual affair but with the same wow-worthy flavours you'd expect. The all-day menu has something to suit every mood, from homemade cocoa pops to braised lamb pappardelle.
Tavolo is a new Italian restaurant in Belmont and it’s serving up some delicious pizzas, heaps of amazing mains and some pretty special desserts. Go and try the herb crusted lamb rack. You won’t regret it.
Health Freak Cafe
Health Freak Cafe is taking over the world—or maybe just Perth—opening their latest venue in Kings Park. Just at the bottom of Jacobs Ladder, think of it as extra motivation to get your butt down there!
Belle K Kronut Bar
Belle K opened at the Freo markets just a couple of weeks ago and is changing the way the people of Perth eat cronuts. Go ahead and choose your own fillings, and if you’re feeling crazy you can get a savoury cronut. Pizza and burger cronuts for all!
Filos & Yiros
Brika’s famous lamb yiros are now available every single day of the week at their new take away window Filos & Yiros. There’s a variety of yiros as well as plenty of pastries and coffee. You can also order a side of that delicious halloumi to go.
Coffee And Cubanos
Spadille shut up shop in West Perth a few months ago and then popped back up in Leederville with their communal garage, plus their cafe, Coffee and Cubanos whipping out rad coffee and some of the best sangas known to man. Billy Black’s Barbering Experience is also there helping all the dapper gents with straight edge traditional shaves and haircuts.
Rise Pizza finally opened at the new City Beach redevelopment so you can have pizza by the beach any ol’ time now. The pizzas here are all single serve and you get to choose your own toppings so you get your perfect pizza every time.
Yet another new cafe in the CBD, Ivy League is spoiling the people of Perth with amazing coffee and out of control treats like ferrero gelato sandwiched between peanut butter chocolate cookies.
Chapter Twenty Seven
Chapter Twenty Seven flung open its doors in Wattle grove a few weeks ago and have already absolutely nailed the coffee game. The food all looks incred, but it’s those fresh muffins and the cronuts that have us wanting to back.
North Beach Deli
Soda Cafe got a facelift and re-opened in July as North Beach Deli! The winning breakfasts, lunches and dinners (as well as the stunning views) are still going strong, but they’ve also expanded into a deli with take-home charcuterie, cheese, house-baked bread, salads and ready-to-go meals.
Venery opened in Subiaco just this week and we’re pumped! One of the first cafes in the world to debut a revolutionary new coffee machine with fancy milk frothing technology so you can count on perfect coffee errrry time you visit Venery.
Three Sisters in Leederville is one of the prettiest pho joints in Perth with a heap of natural light and plenty of greenery. The crew here are dishing up traditional pho as well as vegan pho with goji berries, lily flowers, shitaki, enoki and tofu so you vegos and vegans don’t have to miss out.
Slate have opened their cafe and they are pumping out plenty of delish coffee and takeaway goodies. It’s right next to the dog park so take your pooch for a play after you get your caffeine fix.
Ibiza N2 in Mount Lawley is Perth's first nitrogen gelato shop and it's seriously impressive! The crew here use liquid nitrogen to flash freeze gelato right in front of your eyes so you get the smoothest, freshly churned gelato ever. They also make some seriously delicious churros and all sorts of fun drinks like pistachio white hot chocolates and Spanish hot chocolates.
The Compound Claremont
Boutique cafe, concept store and soon to be bar, The Compound is raising the stakes in Claremont. With coffee, fashion and fresh blooms for sale it’s the perfect spot for your morning pick me up.
Meet & Bun
When God closes a door he opens a window, and Meet & Bun is the window that has opened in Trinity Arcade after The Hummus Club left (keep reading to see where you can find them soon). Considering we now have The Hummus Club and these drool-worthy Shake Shack style burgers from Meet & Bun in Perth, we’d say that’s a pretty good window!
The old Roma restaurant opened back in 1954 and now the next generation of the family have re-opened in the heart of Fremantle and the food is better than ever. Expect to eat like a king and be treated like family at this traditional Italian restaurant.
Australia's first Honey Creme has arrived and they've chosen Australia's finest city for the first location! The grand opening is this Saturday with 100 free ice creams for the first in, and a two for one deal for the rest of the day. Expect fresh delicious soft serve sweetened with local honey and topped with amazing flavours like cereal milk, chocolate and bacon, caramel popcorn and so much more.
California Pizza Kitchen
California Pizza Kitchen is coming to Perth! Yassss. If you don’t know about this place, think hand tossed artisan pizza crust with flavours like Thai chicken and prawn and garlic, as well as the traditional flavours like pepperoni and margherita. There’s also plenty of pasta and mains on the menu, but pizza.
Lulu La Delizia
We told you Subiaco was on the ups and Lalla Rookh’s former head chef Joel Valvasori obviously agrees with us because he is opening his pasta and wine bar Lulu La Delizia right smack bang in the middle of it. Watch out for this in late October.
Whisk is opening a new store in Northbridge and we’re a little bit worried about our health. This creamy soft serve gelato that originated in Subiaco is impossible to say no to, but on the plus side, you will never ever regret saying yes!
Il Locale is coming to Angove Street and will be serving up authentic and delicious Italian food for all! The produce is supplied by Di Chiera Bros so you know you’ll be getting top quality food errry time and it’s all made with a heap of love. Yum.
The Hummus Club
The Hummus Club has left the comfort of their Trinity Arcade pop up to set up their own permanent store and we cannot wait any longer. They’ll be opening at 258 William Street in Northbridge and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that they’ll be open by October!
Young Love Mess Hall
Coming soon to 175 William Street, Young Love Mess Hall looks like it's going to be an oasis of indoor greenery and we can't wait to get a sneak peek.
Hylin Small Bar
Hylin is in the process of setting up a small bar at the back of the cafe, and if all goes to plan it will be ready just as the weather starts to come good. West Leederville you win again.
