Are you struggling to keep up with Perth’s dining scene at the moment? It seems like there’s heaps of new restaurants, bars and cafes popping up every week and to be honest, we really need a few extra days in the week to try everything! With so much going on since we published this, this and this, we thought we better bring you guys up to speed.

Here’s the new crop of Perth restaurants, bars and cafes you need to know about.

Open Now

Fuyu

Nedlands

It was a sad day when we heard Pata Negra was closing its doors, but the news that mod-Asian restaurant Fuyu would be taking its place was enough to turn our spirits around. With David Coomer at its helm, we are looking forward to top quality food but with a more relaxed vibe at this Nedlands restaurant. Think dumplings and drinks at the bar and you’re on the right track.

Kazoomies Feel Good Food

Fremantle

North African and Spanish food at its absolute best! The breakfast, lunch and dinner menu are incredible at this Freo cafe and you’ll want to go back about eight times to try everything. But ain’t no one got time for that so wear your loosest pants and order up big! Our top tip for brekky is Zaldeesh’s lamb red shakshuka.

Standby Espresso

Mt Lawley

When we heard the guys behind Engine Room in North Perth were opening up Mount Lawley cafe Standby Espresso, we knew the coffee would be epic. This teeny tiny hole in the wall coffee spot has already got itself a gang of loyal followers loitering on the street outside.

Chimek

Northbridge

After absolutely killing it at the Freo markets, Chimek decided to bring their fried chicken goodness to Northbridge, huzzah! Fried chicken is always a good idea, but it’d be a real shame to miss out on their burgers here so we reckon get both.

Lord Of The Fries

Perth

Quite possibly the most highly anticipated opening of all time in The Urban List office, this is our new happy place. Take your pick from four kinds of fries and 12 different sauces, then pair it with one of the vegetarian burgers or hot dogs and call it a day. Officially opening on the 11th March, if you can’t wait til then, it’s possible they had a sneaky soft launch and are already dishing out fries to those in the know.

The Mark Freo

Fremantle

On top of the Many 6160 building in Fremantle, this laidback rooftop bar will be dishing out delish food and refreshing drinks. Perfect for a post-beach cocktail or sunset dinner, this one just opened today so you can celebrate the long weekend in style.

Health Freak Cafe

Mount Lawley

There are a few Health Freak Cafes scattered over Perth but the latest and greatest of the bunch has just opened in Mount Lawley’s newest laneway, Beaux Lane. They cater to just about every diet from paleo to vegan and are dishing out breakfast, lunch and dinner. Healthy never tasted so good.

Pepper Lunch

Mount Lawley

Another Beaux Lane beauty, Pepper Lunch does DIY Japanese, sizzling style! Take your pick from the menu and soon enough you’ll have a searing hot teppan in front of you so you can cook it yourself! The salmon is the absolute shizz and the kimchi chicken comes in at a close second. And don’t forget to add cheese!

Hood Burger

The Bayswater Bowling and Recreation Club

Handmade cheeseburgers, homemade sauces and delicious, delicious fries (did we mention we love fries?). These guys do a triple cheeseburger which could fill you up for a week (or until you spot dessert) and we are stoked that they are taking over the Bayswater Bowling and Recreation Club kitchen on Friday nights.

Coming Soon

Hamptons

City Beach

You City Beach folk are lucky ducks! Not only is Odyssea one of our fave new spots but restaurant and bar Hamptons, part of the huge City Beach redevelopment, will be opening next month and we can’t wait.

Rise Pizzeria

City Beach

Also part of the City Beach redevelopment, pizza lovers are gonna love Rise Pizzeria. Watch this space for more deets!

Isle Of Voyage

Elizabeth Quay

Sorrento cafe Voyage Kitchen is setting up shop at Elizabeth Quay, yippee! Grab a cold pressed juice with breakfast or go for cocktails and dinner overlooking the water. Pencil this one in for late this month.

The Reveley

Elizabeth Quay

Little sister to The Stables Bar, The Reveley will also be swinging open its doors at Elizabeth Quay verrrrry soon. We hear the food is going to be great but we’re most looking forward to getting our hands on the wine and cocktail list.

Meat Candy

Northbridge

Nashville-style fried chicken from the culinary gods behind Cantina 663 and The Old Crow? Yes please!! Meat Candy may not be opening until June, but these kids are reasonable people and will be helping quell our chicken cravings by serving samples at Ace Pizza in the meantime. #thereisagod
