Even though it is Halloween this weekend, don’t let that scare you out of leaving the house! Perth is serving up multiple glasses of bourbon, some scary barber shop stories, a little beer, some zombies, some more beer and tonnes of coloured powder—it’s gonna be ace!

In an effort to not be a couch potato and watch scary movies all weekend, here’s what’s on this weekend in Perth.

Friday 30 October

We’re calling all bourbon amateurs and experts to The Vines Resort & Country Club this Friday night for a unique experience exploring the world of North American whisky. You will be given the opportunity to taste and critique six bourbons while chowing down on a perfectly matched four-course dinner. WARNING: You’ll probably have to roll home after that delightful feast.

Where: The Vines Resort & Country Club
When: 6pm, 30 October
Tickets: $95

We all know it’s Halloween this weekend and nothing is scarier than the demon barber of Fleet Street. Sweeney Todd is the most chilling, yet exhilarating musical that gives a unique insight into the twisted mind of a Victorian-era barber who returns home to seek revenge on a man who ruined his life. The story goes deeper but we’re not one for spoilers. We also suggest packing a spare pair of undies in case of an emergency.

Where: Joy Shepherd Performing Arts Centre, Mosman Park
When: 8pm, 30 October
Tickets: $49.95 + booking fee, book here

Perth’s Urban Orchard is producing the goods this year by hosting this ‘feral’ event featuring live music and a spit roast. We challenge you to attempt the “Ride The Hog Challenge” but we’re not divulging any details just yet…you’ll just have to wait and see! Tickets include a Sly Fox beverage and some smoked piggy on arrival. Oink Oink!
