“I hate nachos,” said no Juan ever. What could there possibly be to hate about them? Corn chips, covered in meat, beans and melted cheese, topped with salsa and cream. Ummm hello dreamy dish, will you marry me?
Here’s where to get your mitts on some of our fave nachos in Perth.
The beef or veggie nachos from Little Creatures are the shiznit. They may be on the share menu but you’ll be shouting “these are nacho nachos!” to anyone who tries to steal one tiny chip. Covered in guac and jalapenos, you won’t be disappointed with these bad boys!
Trust The Merrywell to make delish nachos. You can choose from the BBQ pulled pork, wagyu beef chilli or vegetarian varieties and topped with all the goodies like cheese, salsa, jalapenos and red onion, you will taco ‘bout them for weeks to come.
Like the legends they are, Varsity Burgers list nachos as a side dish on their menu, which means you can feel absolutely zero guilt when you chase your tasty double cheese deluxe burger with a plate of delicious meaty or vego nachos.
Guzman Y Gomez
House made corn chips, black beans, melted Australian Jack cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole—that’s Guzman Y Gomez nachos. Choose your favourite filling (mine is the chipotle pulled pork) and you’ve got yourself a Mexican fiesta in your mouth!
Pleased To Meet You
What’s better than nachos? Nachos chased with dessert nachos. Yep, dessert nachos are a thing at Pleased To Meet You. Think unsalted corn chips, cinnamon ice cream, strawberry salsa and mango ‘cheese’. Is your mind blown, because it will be when you taste these beauties!
The Raw Kitchen
If you’re on a diet you won’t break for nachos, firstly we are nacho friend, secondly The Raw Kitchen serve some pretty tasty raw nachos. Topped with salsa, jalapenos, walnut ‘refried beans’, guacamole, cashew ‘sour cream’ and chives, they may not make the Mexican’s proud but they will make your tummy happy. I promise to stop with the nacho puns soon…maybe.
Crispy corn chips covered in pulled beef, smothered in tomato salsa and topped with melted cheese, sour cream and house made guac—that’s what we’re taco’in ‘bout Cafe 2TwentyFour (#sorrynotsorry)! Add some jalapenos in the mix and you have yourself a plate of perfection right there.
The Rosemount Hotel
What could be better than nachos? $12 nachos! You’ll find these lovely jubblies during happy hour every Tuesday at the Rosemount. Choose from the chilli beef or black bean and corn varieties.
The Flying Scotsman
Chilli beef nachos with tomato and corn salsa, mozzarella, sour cream and guac are everything pub nachos should be. Grab a pint or two and be the happiest person ever.
The Paddo gets nachos. Their pulled pork babies with three beans, smoky barbecue sauce, sour cream, avocado and corn salsa are freakin’ delicious, as are the vegetarian nachos with pumpkin, cherry tomatoes, roasted peppers, basil, sour cream, avocado and jalapenos.
The Rose & Crown
We LOVE The Rose & Crown for not being afraid to experiment. Their pulled lamb nachos are topped with tomato salsa, lime and tequila sour cream and smashed avo, and they are oh so good! Also serving Jose Cuervo and 1800 anejo tequila, you’re always in for a good time at the R&C.
