Here at The Urban List we’re so green it hurts. We drink our antioxidant, goji berry, superfood stuffed smoothies whilst browsing the local farmer’s markets sourcing only the most organic of produce to cook our healthy, vitamin packed meals. Ok, so maybe we do this one Sunday a month, but the thought’s there ok? Want to know the one thing we don’t exaggerate on? Our love of organic beauty products.
Whilst we might not always be super kind to our skin (ahem, third margarita last night), we are super careful about what we put on it. That’s why, when it comes to skincare, we just had to let you all know about the best organic beauty products on the market right now.
River Veda Everyday Evening Primrose Moisturiser
Made with 77.18% organic ingredients (woah!) this one’s the real deal. So what makes it so fab? Well, let us tell you. It’s got two super powers in the form of organic cold pressed oils, Evening Primrose and Jojoba, a dynamic duo that combines to rejuvenate skin, aka, minimize fine lines and wrinkles and generally plump your skin for an all over younger looking result, we’ll take two bottles.
Neal's Yard Remedies Rose Facial Polish
84% organic ingredients in this bad boy! (We’ll stop doing that now, but seriously, 84!) and without a micro bead in sight, this exfoliating polish gets rid of nasties the natural way (see what we did there?) With Wild Rose Seed Powder, Milk Thistle and Aloe Vera, this guy soothes and promises to leave skin fresh and revitalized. How can you say no?
Kora Organics Hydrating Mask
This one’s got ingredients that we’ve never even heard of before (Noni Extract anyone?) which means it’s super good for you, you know if you follow the rule that unheard of ingredient = very good, must-have ingredient, like we do. That said, this calming mask restores essential moisture to your skin and lord knows we’re in need of that after a winter of sitting in front of a heater trying to thaw out!
The Organic Skin Co. Luminous Foundation
A light, liquid foundation which is both organic AND vegan, you just know you’ll feel like a totes smug, I’m-using-organic-products-on-my-face-check-me-out with this gem, kind of person.
Mukti Balancing Foaming Cleanser
This little miracle worker is vegan, nut, gluten, wheat and palm oil free (So Bondi). It gently foams (definitely preferred to aggressive foaming), cleanses, balances, as well as removes excess oil and impurities. Dream.
RosehipPLUS™ Australian Certified Organic Rosehip Oil
A 100% (sorry, last one) pure and natural Certified Organic product, Rosehip Oil contains naturally occurring vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids which basically do everything (reduce scars and stretchmarks, hydrates skin, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles and promotes elasticity).
Kelapa Organics Cream Cleanser
Free from sulfates, parabens, artificial preservatives, synthetic fragrances and artificial colours (phew) this gentle cleanser hydrates and refreshes skin using Organic Coconut Oil and Jojoba Oil. Yum.
Vanessa Megan Rose Water Spray
Use this guy as a natural alternative to toner, or to refresh your skin on a flight or keep you dewy as you lay by the pool. Produced using Bulgarian organic roses, it’s great for both dry, oily or combination skin.
Dr Bronners Organic Hand & Body Lotion
A family-run business that promises to produce socially and environmentally responsible products, you can sleep easy at night after purchasing this all-over cream. With organic coconut oil, organic hemp and avocado oil, this super nourishing cream comes in all kinds of organic-y fragrances including Patchouli Lime and Lavender Coconut. We feel healthy just thinking about it.
