Get Your Zen On At Brisbane’s First EVER Silent Yoga Disco!

The heart of the Brisbane CBD isn’t exactly the first place that springs to mind when you’re trying to think zen-like thoughts—we’re with you there. But atop the city’s skyline, overlooking our gorgeous city is exactly the place for your next tranquil yoga sesh. Promise!

We’ve done silent discos, hell, we’ve even done silent raves with glow sticks (not our finest moment), but one thing we have never, ever done, is a silent yoga disco. And, holy hell are we intrigued!

Hosting the first ever Shri Unleashed event atop the Queen St Mall, Urban Bliss Yoga, Shri Yoga and The Hunger Project’s Unleash Women initiative are asking you to throw on your finest stretchy pants, and indulge in an hour’s yoga session in the sanctum of your own world. Does it get more om vibes than that?

All attending yogis will be equipped with a pair of headphones and a space to stretch out, with DJ Andy Dub providing some sweet beats and instructor Julie Smerdon leading the charge—helping you to de-stress and unwind high above the city.

Post class, you’re invited to join the team at lululemon Queen St for some champers and canapes, and to chat about the incredible work of The Hunger Project and Unleashed Women.

With your help, their incredible team is hoping to raise enough money to empower 160,000 women to end hunger and poverty in their communities. Last year, women all over Australia joined the Unleash Women movement and raised funds to teach 80,000 mothers about feeding their children nutritious food and 60,000 women a micro-finance loan.

It goes to show the positive change we can make when we come together as a community.

Tickets are just $25 and selling fast, with all proceeds going to the Unleashed Women initiative, so get them while you can!
