There’s no two ways about it, we are bonafide burger freaks and we don’t care who knows it.
Whether you’re a traditionalist (classic, all the way!), or an adventurous burger lover Noosa and the Sunshine Coast’s best burger joints will scratch your itch, every time.
No matter your hood, there’s a delish burger just waiting to be eaten around the corner from you, so read on for the best burger joints to get chomping on your summer holiday.
Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co.
I don’t know who Betty is, but I love her and her burgers. It’s pretty impossible to go past a Betty’s Classic burger (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and special sauce) but if you have to make the stretch, then the crispy chicken or pork belly are both great options. Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co. is an inspired addition; concrete—if you don’t know—refers to an American style of dessert, which is a delicious combo of ice cream, custard, and chunky mix ins (like apple pie). The perfect end to a proper #cheatday meal.
What may sound more like a grease-filled car yard, is actually one of the Coast’s best burger joints. Harking back to Rick’s past-life as an actual garage, there’s memorabilia galore adorning the walls, but the real attraction is the meaty stacks of delight this licensed diner is known for. Our fave is the Ricks Famous ‘Big One’, jam packed with double beef, bacon, egg, beetroot, tomato relish and aioli. Wash it down with a Coors or a banana boat sundae, and you’ll be in ‘Merican heaven.
Maryoochydore locals know to get their burger fix at Hello Harry. With a tidy burger menu (there are serve to choose from), we can’t get enough of the Louisiana pulled pork, bbq glaze, red cabbage slaw or the crumbed barramundi with lemon dill and aioli. There’s a selection of wine and beer, or house made milkshakes for your drinking needs, too.
DownTown Burger Bar
SecretBurgers, crinkle cut chips, maxed-out milkshakes. What’s not to love about DownTown in Nambour. Open for lunch Monday to Friday, and dinner Wednesday to Sunday, it’s a burger aficionado’s dream—definitely worth a roadtrip too.
Good Bar Diner
Good Bar Diner is a slashie of the fun and delicious variety, and a fave among locals and tourists. Serving up a good selection of bevvies, bar food and, of course, burgers, Good Bar is awesome for a casual catch up with mates or a fun date night with your S.O.
The Burger Bar
Is there anything better than a burger on the waterfront? I think not. It’s basically un-Australian to eat your burger any other way. Winner of Queensland’s favourite burgers last year, The Burger Bar is on its way to becoming a Noosaville institution thanks to the amazing burgers, with everything made in house, including the sauces and relishes.
