Brisbane’s Getting A Retro Arcade Pop Up And Sneaker Museum

Remember the days when everyone was rocking Reebok Pumps, watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air and playing Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega?

Well, we’ve got good news for you, Westfield Garden City is paying tribute to the good old days with Old School Cool. Dust off your acid wash denim, book in your perm and prepare your ears for classic tunes from the likes of Wham!, A-Ha and Whitney. It’s happening from 24 September to 7 October and it’s going to be a blast from the past.

The piece de resistance is the Old School Cool arcade featuring all of the neon lights. You can brush up on your pinball skills, challenge a friend to air hockey,  and have a dance-off on the Dance Dance Revolution d-floor. It’s going to be loads of fun and the Stranger Things vibes will be aplenty. Don’t forget to snap some pics for the ‘Gram!

We’re crazy excited for Foot Locker to bust out kicks from their archives at the pop up Sneaker Museum in the Centre Court. Oh, the regret you’ll feel for throwing away your Air Jordan’s circa 1988 (why did you make me do it, mum?!)

After all this, why not give your sneakers new life at the sneaker customisation station? Book in to have your kicks pimped by local sneaker artists, spots will run out fast for this one, so book your pair in STAT!
