Hummus fans, listen up. A brand new hummus restaurant is opening in Mount Hawthorn and you’re going to want to pay them a visit.
Dishing up hummus in all kinds of ways, it’s a fast, healthy and delicious option for the Mount Hawthorn locals, but we have a feeling it will be worth travelling for.
The menu is a pick and mix situation so you can opt for a bowl, platter or pita before going to town on flavours and toppings. Flavours include the classic, beetroot, jalapeno, honey roasted vegetables, roast garlic or the rotating hummus of the moment, for those of you who like to change things up.
Once you’ve chosen from those options, it’s time to add mushrooms, falafel, chicken or meat from their homemade doner. Add-ins include everything from garlic and chilli to pine nuts and cheese, and if you’re still feeling hungry after that you can go to town on hot chips, rice, corn chips, pita or a salad.
Now for the pièce de résistance, they are also doing dessert hummus with flavours like funfetti, brownie batter, red velvet and peanut butter hummus filling the menu.
As if all that wasn’t enough, Hummus. is BYO with no corkage fee.
While they technically don’t open until August, they have started their soft opening so you can get in there between Wednesday and Sunday, 4:30pm to 9pm. They’ll be conducting staff training and trials during the soft opening so go easy on them. If you want the true experience, mark Wednesday 5 August in your calendar.
Until then, check out the State Building's new Wine Merchant.
