We’ve had a cheese festival, a cheese cellar, a cheese cathedral and now, further proving that Perth’s love of cheese knows no bounds, we’ve got a cheese lab. La Delizia Latticini has just opened in Victoria Park and they are handmaking fresh cheese every day with the very best Margaret River milk.
While we’ve got pretty good access to some of the best cheese from around the globe, it’s a little bit harder to find the fresh stuff that will rival a French daffinois or an Italian mozzarella, so we’re welcoming La Delizia Latticini with open arms.
Their award winning cheese maker, Antonio Caroli (better known by his fans as Zio Bella), moved to Perth recently from Puglia and is using the very best Italian imported cheese-making equipment so you can bet your bottom dollar that his techniques, combined with WA’s best fresh produce, is creating some of the most delicious cheese in Perth.
While La Delizia Latticini will make fresh mozzarella, bocconcini and burrata, it’s the mozzarella that they say will be the best in WA. They’ll be supplying to Perth restaurants so you’d better hope your favourite pizza joints gets on board soon.
If you’re looking for a quick lunch, La Delizia Latticini is also whipping up paninis and a selection of antipasti, so you can grab something to go, but we’d recommend hanging out for a while and watching them at work.
The store is designed so you can get a good look behind the scenes; proving there’s no funny business going on—just good local ingredients and handmade love.
They also have plans to unveil a completely organic mozzarella soon, so keep an eye out for that.
It’s sitting pretty inside Hawaiian’s Park Centre in Victoria Park and they’re open every single day.
