If you haven't been to Noggos Kitchen & Coffee, cancel your weekend plans and organise brunch immediately at this hidden gem in Maylands.

Run by the crew behind Waneroo's Little Donkey Corner, Noggos is the relaxed neighbourhood hang-out you need in your life. The outside area is dog-friendly so if your furry friend loves a morning out and being snapped for the Noggo Insta profile, you’re in for a treat.

The chilled out vibes and always smiling staff will have you ready to sip your morning away over a good chat with friends and a seriously good cup of coffee. If you need to freshen up or get ready for a meal of epic proportions, go for the rose cold-pressed juice. Full of all the good things like strawberry, apple, lemon and mint, it’s the perfect pick-me-up and dare we say a suitable palate cleanser for the explosion of flavours that are headed your way.

The menu at Noggos is small but everything is created with fresh, local ingredients and to a standard of pure perfection. If you’re really hanging out for your morning fix of eggs and like yours with cheese (who doesn't?) go for the cheesy scrambled eggs with mozzarella, relish and a pesto parmesan crumb that will have you singing the chef’s praises.

However, if you’ve come here for the brunch of your dreams, what you really need to order is the absolute hero of the menu—the Frenchie & Fried Chicken. Yes, you may feel overwhelmed when two pieces of crispy fried chicken on french toast doused in maple butter hits your table, but we promise, after one bite, you’ll be ready to lick the plate clean.

Everything about this dish is exactly as it should be—perfectly fried, crispy, tender chicken sitting on top of ridiculously good french toast with maple butter. It's an unbelievable blend of sweet and salty flavours that will have you continuing to dive in for more. Topped off with toasted sesame and chives, there is not one thing on this dish we would change.

For those of you who aren't up for the french toast, try the fried chicken burger, kimchi fried rice or the halloumi sandwich. While we can't go past the Frenchie, you won’t be disappointed with a single thing that comes out of this kitchen.

If sweets are more your style, rest assured, the cookies and cream waffles topped with an Oreo crumb, Nutella, whipped cream and a decadent creme anglaise will give you everything your heart desires.

The cabinet at Noggos is full of delicious treats to bring home to keep your food-filled weekend going. Grab a brownie, cookie or freshly baked pastry—you can’t go wrong. You can also grab the cold-pressed juices to take-away if you feel like you may need it to roll out of your food coma later on.
