Bread + melted cheese + open late. Well that’s basically everything we’ve ever wanted in life. And now the clever cats over at Toast Cartel are making it happen! Huzzah!
Opening in the spot that used to be Eleven Squares—in the Fremantle piazza behind Timezone—Toast Cartel will be grilling epic sambos from 8am every single day. Using artisan breads and seriously drool-worthy fillings, the menu items will rotate on the reg to make the most of seasonal produce. To kick things off, we’d recommend the piggie smalls—North American style pulled pork, sticky bourbon BBQ sauce and smoked cheddar—or the Walter White—condensed milk, bananas and toasted coconut on brioche—if you’re after something sweet.
From Thursday through Saturday they’ll be open proper late—if there are people out and about at 4am, they’ll be open! But if you want a toastie for dinner (or dessert) any other night, never fear, they’ll still be open until about 8 or 9pm from Sunday through Wednesday.
If you’re gluten free, dairy free, vegan (or anything else in between) and thought toasties were a thing of the past, think again. Toast Cartel will be catering to all of your dietary needs, what legends!
They’ll also be brewing some delish coffee from Veneziano, or if you’re not into coffee you can get yourself a wet chai (it's steeped in honey and flippin' amazing), a white hot chocolate or a turmeric or matcha latte.
Oh and if you’re not into dessert toasties, the American style brownies will knock your socks off!
With plans to open in the next week or so, you’ll want to keep an eye on their Facebook page to keep up to date.
